If you feel exhausted, broken, or scared, if you don’t know if you can rebuild again this time, you’ve come to the right place, because if you’re here with the rest of us at square one, you are on sacred ground.
As humans, we are drawn to the classic stories of fresh starts, second chances, birth and death and new life, going up in flames and rising from the ashes. These are the stories of all of our lives, although, in dark times, we can forget how to get back to our feet.
One human life is actually a series of chapters and snippets, each seemingly self-contained but all of them beginning where another passage has just ended. Maybe something you love has recently ended for you, or the events of the last few years have robbed you of a sense of your connection and security, your belief that life is rich and meaningful. Maybe you long to stop hitting the snooze button and instead begin to ask yourself how alive you are willing to be.
Starting over again can be incredibly scary and hard, but the secret is you don’t have to know what you’re doing, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Our first event is titled “Square One is Sacred Ground.” If you are at square one, you may feel like a rank beginner in the game of life, a loser who has not figured it all out yet, or a complete fraud who is only pretending to have your act together. Welcome aboard! The truth is that you are at a holy site of transformation and renewal. We invite you to join Annie Lamott and Sam Lamott on December 18th at 5:30 PT for an evening of gentle encouragement, community building, and a benevolent kick in the butt to start your life anew. Fear, hope, courage, confusion and joy are the order of the day, as we gather together to face whatever may come, more awake than ever before, and transformed day by day into our truest and most alive selves.
Nobody gets turned away. If for whatever reason you cannot afford to register, please write Hello@hellohumans.co and let us know what you can afford.
